Thought that i would start a topic on the top game of the 80's, 90's & 00's. From the 80's my personal choice would be Head Over Heals on the Spectrum. From the 90's it would have to be Resident Evil. My last choice for the 00's is Ico. Those are my choices but on another day maybe i would pick differently. What are your top 3?

Good choice there with Head Over Heels.

My favs from those eras are as follows:

80's - Head Over Heels (Amstrad CPC)
90's - Street Fighter II: Champion Edition (Arcade)
00's - Rez (Playstation 2)

Hello there. My name's Garry and I'm from Stoke-on-Trent. What good fortune to have an event like this on my doorstep. Anyway... top 3 games eh... Here goes...

80s Outrun (Arcade)
90s Mariokart (SNES)
00s Ico (PS2) (Bloody brilliant game; like a playable fairytale).

In all truth, I like my 80s arcade games best. Can't wait to have a few goes on the MAME cabinets. I think it will make my mind up on buying a decent arcade stick.
Oh, and I have to mention that I enjoyed my C64 quite a bit too...more for the music than anything else really.

Anyroad, See you there.

Tough choice! My 3 (today at least) would be

80s: Frogger (arcade)
90s: Wave Race (N64)
00s: We Love Katamari (PS2)

Cheers
Jon

There are some really good choices so far. I have just started to play through we love katamari Flicky. It has been in my collection ( sitting next to Okami) for a while and i have kept saying that i will get around to playing it and i have finally made a start. I have to say that this is such an original and fun game. The use of the joypad is great as you only use the 2 sticks to control the Katamari.

I agree with you Wazhead about Ico. It is just like a fairytale. I love this game. The music that you hear when you pause or save the game is beautiful.

Here's my picks:

80's - Bubble Bobble (Arcade and C64)
90's - X-Wing vs TIE Fighter (PC)
00's - GTA: Vice City (PS2)

While I can't disagree with any of the above, my esoteric list would be:

80's
Atari Arcade 'BattleZone' (first time I spent money on an arcade)

90's
PC 'StarCraft' (Still playing tonight!)

00's
PS3 'Resistance of Man'
